Why do I need a Consultant?
Today MPA is focused on encouraging a strategic approach to business, even when working with individuals in a teaching or mentoring relationship. We work closely with clients to embrace transformational ideas whether for their business or launching a new venture or indeed for themselves as the new breed of entrepreneur. We aim to help them make change happen enabling growth, success and building sustainable competitive advantage.
Make no mistake - it's all about YOU. Your ideas, your business. But sometimes a 'wise old head' (see below) can pass on the benefit of experience, both good and bad. And can stimulate fresh ideas you may not have considered. Better still, you can be coached to achieve success in your own terms.
Who the hell is Mike Penfold?
Marketing Professionals Australia (MPA) has been around since 2011 but its credentials stretch back much further than that.
It is the business created, owned and operated by Mike Penfold, a consummate marketing professional for over 50 years, with experience in:
- Large multi-national corporations – 25 years’ experience in the airline industry during its rapid expansion phase
- Smaller boutique subsidiaries of airlines selling software and services worldwide
- Representative consultancy – on behalf of services suppliers to the airline industry worldwide
- Hotel operations – owning and operating a multi-award-winning boutique hotel in Kangaroo Valley, near Sydney Australia
- Cattle stud farming – production of top-quality rare breed animals (Belted Galloways) for the farming trade
- Academic life as a Lecturer, Facilitator and Course Developer at Universities and Business Colleges
- Individual consultancy to small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
- Mentoring of emerging young Marketers (recent graduates)
- Many parts of the world - Australia, USA, UK, NZ, India, China, Korea, Taiwan, Botswana
He started his career as a computer programmer in the early days of corporate computing and has kept a deep interest and knowledge of the digital world ever since. Later, his career flourished into B2B Marketing and Business Development, followed by SME Operations and an Academic life as teacher, facilitator and mentor.
